A quoting engine built from the workroom floor up
Every allowance, every fraction, every add-on — priced the way your workroom actually fabricates.
Silhouette Suite prices window treatments with the same arithmetic a master workroom uses on paper: widths rounded to the half, cut lengths built from real header and hem allowances, repeats rounded up to the full repeat, and yardage buffered when a cut lands exactly on a whole yard. Nothing is estimated by feel and nothing is a generic square-foot guess.
What the engine actually calculates
Each treatment type carries its own ratified formula set, maintained against a master workroom worksheet rather than invented in software.
Widths and panels
Fabric widths per panel are taken to the nearest half width, multiplied across panels, then rounded once at the total. Liner widths are calculated independently, because a liner is rarely the same width as the face cloth.
Cut lengths
Header and hem allowances are applied by lining type, repeats round up to the next full repeat, and a half-drop pattern adds an additional repeat automatically.
Labor tiers
Labor is drawn from tenant-owned rate tables keyed by product, lining, and finished length. No rate is ever hardcoded in the software.
Add-ons and surcharges
French seams, difficult fabric, memory stitch, bead weight, trim, oversize widths and rush work each become their own visible pricing line, never a silent adjustment inside a total.
Yardage buffers
When face fabric lands on an exact whole yard, the engine adds the buffer yard your cutting table needs. Relaxed romans buffer the base yardage before per-width additions, in that order.
Immutable snapshots
The moment a quote is generated, every rate, constant and intermediate value is snapshotted. Change a price list tomorrow and yesterday's approved quote stays exactly as the client approved it.

Missing data is loud, never invented
If a rate row, a liner, or a chart value is missing for the configuration in front of you, the engine surfaces a visible warning instead of quietly substituting a default. A quote you cannot trust is worse than no quote at all.
