Flat, relaxed, hobbled, slatted, cordless and motorized — each with its own rate and its own cut length behavior.
Roman shades are priced on rounded square footage at a style-specific rate, plus a headrail charge that depends on the lift system, plus liner. Raw width includes returns and the standard build allowance, and cut length is derived before repeat rounding so a patterned cloth never loses its match.
Style-aware, not one rate for everything
Per-style rates
Flat, motorized, cordless, relaxed, hobbled and slatted shades each read their own tenant rate row. A missing row raises a warning rather than falling back to the flat rate.
Cut length behavior
Slatted and hobbled constructions multiply cut length by their construction factor. A shade valance adds its own allowance. The cut length field is locked so it can never be quietly overwritten.
Headrails and motors
Continuous cord loop, cordless and motorized headrails carry distinct charges, and a motor is entered and shown as its own line rather than buried inside labor.
Liner always priced
Roman shades are lined work. Liner widths derive from raw width and the resolved liner's usable width, and the liner always appears in the total.
Relaxed shades buffer in the right order
Base face yardage is buffered first, per-width relaxed pool yardage is added second, and only then is the total rounded to a whole yard. Reversing that order is how workrooms end up a yard short on the cutting table.
